PAPILLION, Neb. - Forbes.com has listed the Omaha Storm Chasers as one of the most valuable franchises in Minor League Baseball.

"Our organization created a plan to develop the Omaha Storm Chasers into a ball club that is engaged with the community and is a leader in Minor League Baseball," said President and General Manager of the Omaha Storm Chasers, Martie Cordaro. "The dreams and ideas that we envisioned six years ago are now becoming a reality on a daily basis at Werner Park."

The Forbes announcement is another example of the success of the Omaha Storm Chasers. On the field, the team is in first place in the American Northern Division. Off the field, the organization has been recognized for its value among other Minor League teams and has cracked the top 25 in Minor League Baseball in merchandise sales for the 2011 season. Several members of the management team have been recognized for their approach and execution of the Royals-to-Storm Chasers name change along with accolades for the successful first season at Werner Park.

The Omaha Storm Chasers return home for a four-game series against the Memphis Redbirds, the Triple-A affiliate of the 2011 World Series Champion St. Louis Cardinals, from June 19-22. For information on how to purchase tickets to watch Irving Falu and the Omaha Storm Chasers defend their 2011 Pacific Coast League Championship, call the Werner Park Ticket Office at (402) 738-5100 or visit www.omahastormchasers.com.
