MEMPHIS, TN - Memphis split their doubleheader with New Orleans Friday night at AutoZone Park dropping game one 5-2 while taking the second game 10-3.

In the first game, both Nick Green and Clint Sammons collected a pair of RBI to lead the Zephyrs in their victory. Mark Hamilton was the only Redbird to drive in a run with a two-run double in the sixth while Memphis was only able to squeeze out four hits on the game. New Orleans starter Wade LeBlanc picked up the win allowing two runs on four hits over 5.1 innings while Chris Hatcher nailed down his third save of the season with a scoreless seventh inning. Tyler Lyons pitched a complete game loss in his Triple-A debut for the Redbirds, giving up five runs on seven hits while fanning seven across seven innings.

In the night cap, the Redbirds slugged their way to a 10-3 victory, including two home runs by Mark Hamilton. Memphis took a 4-0 lead before the Z's sent home the only three New Orleans runs on the game in the fourth off an RBI-single by Mike Cervenak and a two-run triple by Chase Lambin. Pete Kozma's two-run single in the fifth extended the 'Birds lead to 6-3. Eugenio Velez hit a bomb over the visiting bullpen for a three-run homer as Mark Hamilton followed suit with a solo shot to left field in the next at-bat. Memphis starter Brian Broderick notched his third win, giving up three runs on seven hits over five innings. Elih Villanueva took the loss for the Zephyrs surrendering four runs, three earned, on four hits.

Memphis and New Orleans play tomorrow night with first pitch scheduled for 6:05 p.m. with post-game fireworks set to Disney-themed music presented by YP. It is also Faith and Family night, presented by LifeWay Christian Stores. There will be a one hour pre-game concert by Christian recording artist, John Angotti starting at 4:15 p.m. in the plaza.
