Stingrays Gameday: Stingrays Look To Make History Tonight In North Charleston

North Charleston, SC - The South Carolina Stingrays skate against the Charlotte Checkers tonight at 7:05 p.m. at North Charleston. Tonight is the seventh of eleven scheduled meetings between the two teams this season and the fourth of five consecutive. The Stingrays come into tonight's contest on an ECHL- best 12 game winning streak, tying a franchise record set in 2007.

Today is Tailgate Saturday with the Rays! Come out and start the celebration early with a tailgate in the Coliseum parking lots. Bring the food, bring the music and bring the FUN! Lots open at 4:00 p.m.

The Stingrays close out the five-game mini series with the Checkers Sunday, December 20 at Time Warner Cable Arena at 2:00 p.m. The Stingrays return to North Charleston Coliseum Sunday, December 27 at 4:00 p.m. against the Charlotte Checkers. Join the Stingrays on Sunday for Kid's Day featuring $5 kid's tickets and a pregame kid's carnival. It is also Adopt-a-Dog Sunday with Camp Bow Wow. Note of the Night: Stingrays defenseman Josh Godfrey is currently on a four-game point streak with five points (1g, 4a) and on a four-game assist streak (4a).

Cha-Ching! With a goal last night, Stingrays rookie Nikita Kashirsky is now tied for second in the ECHL with 17 goals. The Russian forward is also riding a four-game point streak (4g, 3a) coming into tonight's contest.

History In The Making Tonight, the South Carolina Stingrays have the opportunity to make franchise history with their 13 straight win. The Stingrays set the record of 12 consecutive wins back in 2007 between November 28 and December 1.

Fantastic Fornataro Stingrays forward Matt Fornataro has seven-game point streak (4g, 7a) and 19 points (7g, 12a) in his last eleven games played.
