
Stingrays Game Preview: Stingrays and Solar Bears Close Regular-Season Series Tonight

North Charleston, S.C. - The South Carolina Stingrays battle the Orlando Solar Bears tonight at 7:30 at the Amway Center in Orlando, Florida. Tonight is the 11th and final regular-season meeting between the two East-Division rivals.
Kelly Cup Playoff Chase:
If the 2015 Kelly Cup Playoffs started tonight, the Stingrays hold the #2 seed in the East Division and would take on the Reading Royals with the series starting at the North Charleston Coliseum.
Series Breakdown:
The Stingrays are 6-2-1-1 against the Solar Bears this season and collided last night at the Amway Center picking up a 2-1 victory in a 15-round shootout. Watch Highlights All time, the Stingrays are 17-5-3-3 vs. Orlando.
Jakaitis Picking Up Wins:
Goaltender Jeff Jakaitis earned his 16th consecutive win last night, an ECHL record, making 29 saves and stopping 10 of 15 Solar Bears attempts in the shootout.
Carbery Searches for Win #44:
With the win last night, Head Coach Spencer Carbery tied a single-season career high with his 43 win behind the Stingrays bench. During the 2013-14 campaign, the Stingrays went 43-23-0-2 under Carbery's direction.

The Stingrays wrap up a season-long seven game road trip tomorrow, Saturday, April 4 at 7:00 against the Florida Everblades at Germain Arena in Estero, Florida.
The Stingrays close the regular-season schedule on Saturday, April 11 against the Evansville IceMen at 7:05 at the North Charleston Coliseum on Fan Appreciation Night and The Post and Courier Hall of Fame Night. The first 1,000 fans receive a 2014-15 Stingrays team photo courtesy of Sheila Lauffer of Data Imaging and a new member of the Stingrays Hall of Fame will be inducted during the first intermission. Saturday also features FREE parking!
