The Stingrays have a record of 6-2 against the Pride after a 6-0 win on Friday night in Florence. Ed Courtenay had six points against the Pride in the last game between these two teams.

The Stingrays beat the Wildcatters 5-1 in Texas on February on February 10th. Brad Parsons helped the Stingrays to the win over the Wildcatters with a short handed tally in the first meeting.

The Week That Was:

Monday, February 21, 2005 Stingrays 3 @ Greenville 4 SO

The Stingrays used a power play goal by Rich Peverley to tie the score in the third period, but the Grrrowl ended the game in the sixth round of the shoot out.

Tuesday, February 22, 2005 Stingrays 3 Vs Greenville 5

Greenville topped the Stingrays in a home and home series with the victory.

Friday, February 25, 2005 Stingrays 6 Vs Pee Dee 0

Ed Courtenay had two goals and four assists and Brad Parsons had a hat trick in the win. Justin Eddy made 38 saves to help the Stingrays to their first regulation win in eight tries.

Saturday, February 26, 2005 Stingrays 4 Vs Charlotte 3 OT

Kevin Spiewak scored 58 seconds into overtime to help the Stingrays to their second straight win. Matt Reid had a goal and an assist in the victory.

Sunday, February 27, 2005 Stingrays @ Gwinnett

Gwinnett rattled off four unanswered goals in the second and third period to skate away from the Stingrays. Jeff Campbell had his eighth goal of the season against the Stingrays in the third consecutive win for the Gladiators over the Stingrays.

The Team:

South Carolina finished the week with a record of 2-2-1. It was the team's busiest week of the season. South Carolina has six days off before its next contest against the Pee Dee Pride in Florence on March 5th. The Rays will play nine of their next twelve games at the North Charleston Coliseum. The Stingrays are now 28-19-7 overall and in fourth place in the East Division. The Stingrays now have a record of 12-13-5 on the road. The Stingrays penalty kill is still best in the ECHL at 88.9% and the power play is ranked eighth at 18%.

The Players:

Ed Courtenay had six points in Friday's win over the Pee Dee Pride on two goals and four assists. Courtenay had 22 points in the month of February on eight goals and 14 assists. Brad Parsons had the first hat trick of the season for the Stingrays in a 6-0 win over Pee Dee. Justin Eddy earned his first shut out as a professional in that game making 38 stops.
