Stingrays Announce 2019-20 Season-Opening Roster

South Carolina Stingrays News Release
NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. - The South Carolina Stingrays, proud ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Washington Capitals and AHL's Hershey Bears, have announced their season-opening roster Thursday in advance of the 2019-20 regular season.
To finalize the roster, South Carolina has agreed to terms with goaltender Billy Christopoulos on a standard professional contract. Christopoulos had been with the team during the preseason on a try-out agreement.
The Rays' roster consists of eight returning members from the 2018-19 season as well as eight rookies. Seven players are on AHL contracts with Hershey, while defender Kristofers Bindulis is the lone member of the squad on an NHL contract with the Capitals.

The 27th season of Stingrays hockey begins in Orlando against the Solar Bears on October 12. The Stingrays will open their home schedule in North Charleston vs. Orlando the following week on Saturday, October 19.
