Grizzlies Release 2019-2020 Opening Day Roster

West Valley City, Utah - The Utah Grizzlies, proud affiliate of the Colorado Avalanche, has announced the roster for the 2019-2020 regular season.
8 players return from last year's team. Defenseman Kevin Davis, Taylor Richart and Teigan Zahn are back from last season's club. Richart is the longest tenured current Grizzlies skater as it's his 4th season with the club. Zahn served as captain of the Grizz last season. He has the role of player/assistant coach for the 2nd straight year.
Returning forwards who played with the Grizzlies last season include Travis Barron, Josh Dickinson, Mike Economos, Mitch Maxwell and Tim McGauley.
Forwards (14): Travis Barron, Cole Cassels, Josh Dickinson, Mike Economos, Colin Jacobs, Felix Lauzon, Mitch Maxwell, Tim McGauley, Patrick McGrath, Griffen Molino, Brandon Saigeon, Yuri Terao, Ryan Wagner, Joe Wegwerth.
Defenseman (7): Ryan Black, Kevin Davis, Taylor Richart, Peter Tischke, Eric Williams, Connor Yau, Teigan Zahn.
Goaltenders (3): Mason McDonald, Hunter Miska, Jeff Smith,
There's lots of professional experience as 14 different players have played a combined 691 games in the AHL.
Head Coach/General Manager Tim Branham is in his 7th season with the Grizzlies. He is the winningest head coach in Utah Grizzlies history. Assistant Coach Ryan Kinasewich is in his 3rd season as an assistant in Utah. Kinasewich is the all-time leading scorer in team history.
Trainer Brady Cufaude and Equipment Manager Matthew Schwegmann both worked together with the SPHL's Peoria Rivermen in the 2018-19 season.

The Grizzlies open up the regular season on October 11th and 12th against the Idaho Steelheads and on October 16th vs Wichita. Face-off for all 3 games of the first homestand are at 7:00 pm.
