
Royals Announce Opening Night Roster

Reading, PA - Head Coach Kirk MacDonald has announced the Reading Royals' 25-man opening night roster for the 2019-20 season, pres. by Tower Health UPMC Health Plan. The roster features eight players that skated for the Royals in 2018-19. The regular season opens Friday at Newfoundland (5:30 p.m. EST) and the Royals home opener is Sat., Oct. 19 vs. Maine at 7:00 p.m. The Royals will host a watch party for tomorrow's opener at Saucony Creek Franklin Station Brewpub (700 S. 7th Street, Reading, PA) starting at 5:00 p.m.

Reading opens the season with three games at the Newfoundland Growlers: Oct. 11, Oct. 12 and Oct. 15 (all 5:30 p.m. EST puck drops). Coverage of all three games is available to watch on BCTV (Channel 15 Comcast, Channel 19 Service Electric) and listen to on mixlr.com/readingroyals.
The first Royals' home game on Oct. 19 vs. Maine features a massive block party, games, food, drinks and a special "Downtown Alive" concert on Penn Street before the home opener.
