Colorado Eagles News Release

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - One night after stopping 52 of 53 shots, Brian Stewart stopped all 46 that the Colorado Eagles threw his way to hand Colorado its second shutout of the season as the Bakersfield Condors defeated the Eagles 1-0 behind Jake Morley's power-play goal. Colorado's power play, which entered the game as the league's best, went 0-for-7 on the night.

The teams skated to a scoreless first period in which the Eagles out-shot the Condors, 9-8, despite Bakersfield receiving the frame's only power play.

The Condors scored the only goal of the second stanza, coming via a power play at 6:15 when Nicholas Trembay circled behind the net and fed a backhand pass to Morley in the low slot.

Colorado continued to have trouble beating Stewart in the third, despite a pair of partial two-man advantages and a 17-4 edge in shots. The Condors didn't score again either, as Kyle Jones stopped 22 of 23 shots in the loss.
