Steelheads Teddy Bear Toss to Benefit Underprivileged Children

BOISE, Idaho - The West Coast Hockey League's Idaho Steelheads, along with the United States Marine Corps and the Steelheads Booster Club are hosting the annual Toys for Tots Teddy Bear Toss on Saturday, November 30th.

The first place Steelheads play the Anchorage Aces for the final game of the three-game series Saturday night. Fans coming to the hockey game can help children in need by bringing along a non-breakable toy.

When the Steelheads score their first goal, fans toss the stuffed animal on to the ice, and they will be collected for the Toys for Tots program.

Also, the Steelheads are hosting a public skate on Sunday, December 1st from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Bank of America Centre. Anybody wishing to skate with the Steelheads players will be admitted with a donation of $5.00 and a stuffed toy to the Marine Corps Toys for Tots program.
