Generals Sign Rod Aldoff

Greensboro, NC — The Greensboro Generals of the East Coast Hockey League (ECHL) have announced they have signed defenseman Rod Aldoff to a contract. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Aldoff will be in the lineup tonight when the Generals host the South Carolina Stingrays at 7:30.

Aldoff, 31, is a veteran of eight pro seasons and 390 professional games. A prototype two-way defenseman, the 5'10", 195 pound blueliner has accumulated 68 goals and 173 assists for 241 points over his career. Among his games are 66 contests in the International Hockey League with the Utah Grizzlies and Long Beach Ice Dogs. Aldoff has yet to play hockey this season after spending last year predominantly overseas in Italy.

The Generals host the South Carolina Stingrays tonight at 7:30, with Generals head coach Rick Adduono facing the team he coached for the last six seasons for the first time. Ticket prices range from $10.00 - $17.00, with tickets as low as $8.00 for students and seniors. Generals Flex Plans for six, twelve, and 18 games are also available for as little as $50.00.
