Johnstown, PA- Johnstown Chiefs right wing Lukas Smital's goal with 2:32 remaining in the third period broke a 2-2 tie, as the Chiefs went on to defeat the visiting Wheeling Nailers 4-2 Friday night at the War Memorial. The goal was Smital's 200th point in a Chiefs uniform (96 G, 104A; 245 games).

Brent Bilodaeu (ppg), J.F. Boutin, and Dmitri Tarabrin (empty net goal) also scored for the Chiefs. Mark Major and Bobby Russell scored for the Nailers.

Chiefs goaltender Peter Aubry picked up his sixth win of the season making 15 saves. Wheeling goaltender Mike Valley suffered the loss making 22 saves.

The Chiefs climb back to .500 with a 10-10-1 record. Wheeling is now 8-14-1.

The Chiefs are back home Saturday night when the Greensboro Generals come to town. Face-off is at 7:30 p.m. The first 1,000 people through the gate will receive a FREE ice scraper courtesy of First National Bank of Pennsylvania. For tickets call (814) 536-5156.
