CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. - Home runs by Cody Scarpetta and Zelous Wheeler helped pave the way for a 3-2 win for the Huntsville Stars over the Lookouts in Tuesday night action at AT&T Field.

After three innings of much-ado-about-nothing in terms of offense, the Lookouts finally broke the ice in the bottom of the fourth inning. With one out on the board, Scott Van Slyke reached first on a fielding error by right fielder Erik Komatsu, who could not come down with a high fly ball down the line. Kyle Russell followed with a walk to push Van Slyke to second. Brian Cavazos-Galvez then ripped a double down the left-field line to drive home both runners.

After coasting through five innings, Lookouts starting pitcher Chris Withrow relinquished a solo shot to Cody Scarpetta to open up the sixth inning.

Mimicking a previous act, Zelous Wheeler led off the top of the seventh with a homer off of Withrow to tie-up the score, 2-2.

After the Wheeler homer, Withrow was pulled from the game in favor of reliever Cole St. Clair (1-2). The 2011 Southern League All-Star uncharacteristically walked the first batter he faced, Erik Komatsu. After a force out at second, a balk, and pop up, Matt Cline ripped a single to center, bringing home Martin Maldonado from second to give Huntsville the 3-2 lead.

Inheriting a runner on second with one out in the ninth, Robert Hinton entered the game out of the Stars bullpen and proceeded to induce two groundouts to end the game. Hinton recorded his second save of the season in the process.

Cody Scarpetta (5-4) pitched six solid innings for Huntsville to earn the win. He yielded just two unearned runs, three hits, and four walks, while striking out six.

The Chattanooga Lookouts and Huntsville Stars will continue their five-game series at 7:15 P.M. tomorrow. Tickets for this game or any other Lookouts home game can be purchased at the Lookouts Box Office at AT&T Field, online at www.lookouts.com, or by calling (423) 267-4849.
