PEARL, MS-Tyler Pastornicky hit for the cycle, the first in Mississippi Braves history, as the M-Braves defeated the Generals 14-7 in game two of a four-game series at Trustmark Park. The M-Braves also tied season-high run and hit totals with 14 and 18, respectively.

At four hours and one minute, the game was the longest nine-inning game in M-Braves (7-6, 32-51) history, breaking the previous time of 3:54 against the Suns on August 6, 2008.

Richard Sullivan (2-4) worked two scoreless innings out of the pen to pick up his second win of the season. He limited Jackson (4-9, 42-41) to just four hits while fanning two.

Mississippi plated runs in all but two frames, but the Generals were the first to get on the board with a run in the first. Leury Bonilla walked and scored on a Vincent Catricala double to center field.

The M-Braves took a 2-1 lead in the second. Ernesto Mejia and Sean Henry both singled to start the frame. Cory Harrilchak walked to load the bases. A Matt Kennelly sac fly tied the game at 1-1. Harrilchak then swiped second, thus allowing Henry to score on a throwing error by the shortstop on the play.

Bonilla walked and Catricala singled to put runners at the corners in the third. Catricala stole second and Johermyn Chaves walked. Rich Poythress singled to plate Bonilla and tie the game at 2-2. A fielder's choice then allowed Catricala to score and give the Generals a 3-2 lead.

Pastornicky led off the third with a solo blast to left, tying the game at 3-3. Mycal Jones then singled and scored on a Dan Nelson double to center. Harrilchak and Kennelly delivered back-to-back bases loaded singles to drive in three runs to extend the M-Braves lead to 7-3.

Ernesto Mejia ripped a run-scoring single through the left side to plate Nelson and make it an 8-3 game for the Braves. The M-Braves extended that lead to 9-3 in the fifth when Pastornicky delivered a RBI double to center field.

James McOwen led off the Generals half of the sixth with a single and took second on an error. He then moved to third on a wild pitch before Brandon Havemen and Bonilla drew walks to load the bases. A two-run single by Chavez closed the gap to 9-5.

Willie Cabrera launched a two-run home run, his second of the season, to make it an 11-5 game in the bottom of the sixth.

A two-run double by Catricala in the seventh made it an 11-7 game.

The M-Braves then added three in the seventh to make it 14-7, including a solo blast by Jordan Kreke, his second long ball of the season.

M-Braves starter Randall Delgado went just three frames-his shortest outing of the season. He gave up three earned runs on three hits and four walks while fanning four.

Generals starter Tom Wilhelmsen also went just three innings, giving up seven runs, six earned, on eight hits, a homer, two walks, and two strikeouts.

M-Braves right-hander Arodys Vizcaino (2-2, 3.76) takes the hill in game three of this four-game series against the Generals. He'll square off against Jackson righty Andrew Carraway (6-1, 2.88). First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 PM. Gates open at 6:00 PM.
