
St. Pierre Named to All-Rookie Team

NORFOLK, VA - The Norfolk Admirals are proud to announce that center Martin St. Pierre has been named to the American Hockey League's 2005-06 All-Rookie Team as voted by AHL players and media in each of the league's 27 member cities.
With 20 goals and 46 assists for 66 points thus far this season, St. Pierre is currently second on the Admirals in points and leads the team in assists. The Embrun, ON, native is also currently third in scoring and second in assists among AHL freshmen.
The 22-year old centerman represented Norfolk at the 2006 Rbk AHL All-Star Classic, where he was co-winner of the Accuracy Shooting contest and scored two goals in the All-Star Game. Originally signed to an AHL Standard Player' s Contract in September, St. Pierre was signed by Chicago to an NHL Standard Player's Contract on November 2, 2005. He made his NHL debut with the Blackhawks at Dallas on November 4, 2005.
Last season, St. Pierre split time between the Admirals' ECHL affiliate Greenville Grrrowl and the AHL's Edmonton Roadrunners. He posted 53 points (14g, 39a) in 45 games with Greenville and 7 points (4g, 3a) in 18 contests with Edmonton.
In recognition of his selection to the 2005-06 AHL All-Rookie Team, St. Pierre will receive an custom-designed crystal award.
