St. Louis Cardinals World Series Trophy Makes Its Way to Memphis

MEMPHIS, TN - The St. Louis Cardinals World Champion Trophy will spend six days at AutoZone Park, beginning on Sunday, May 27 until Friday, June 1.

The Tiffany& Company designed trophy was first developed in 1999 for the winner of the 2000 World Series. The trophy is 24 inches tall and has a diameter of 11 inches, weighing approximately 30 pounds and is made of sterling silver. It features 30 gold-plated flags, one for each Major League team, and the base contains an inscription of the signature of the commissioner, as well as the words "Presented by the Commissioner of Baseball."

The trophy will be on display on the concourse behind Ford FansFirst. Fans are encouraged to make a donation to the Redbirds RBI and STRIPES programs before taking a picture with the trophy. All fans interested in taking a picture with the trophy are asked to bring their own camera.

The Redbirds will have fireworks on Sunday, May 27 and a special afternoon game time on Monday, May 28 with first pitch scheduled for 1:05 p.m. A David Freese t-shirt jersey giveaway is scheduled for Friday, June 1 to honor the World Series MVP with a "Freese Out".
