Omaha Storm Chasers News Release
PAPILLION, Neb. - The Omaha Storm Chasers topped the Salt Lake Bees, 4-2, in front of 5,798 cheering fans at Werner Park on Thursday night. First baseman Clint Robinson went 2-for-4 at the plate with an RBI and a run to extend his hitting streak to a solid eleven games.
Sean O'Sullivan (4-3) tallied his fourth win of the season after giving up just two runs in his 5.0 innings of work. Brandon Sisk pitched the sixth and seventh while Tommy Hottovy tossed the eighth and ninth innings to earn his third save of the year. Sisk and Hottovy allowed just one hit each in their respective two innings on the mound.
Jason Bourgeois opened the bottom of the first with a double to right-center field and scored three batters later on a Robinson RBI single.
Salt Lake (25-23) responded with a run of their own in the top of the second to knot the game at 1-1. The Chasers (29-19) pushed back with a solo jack by Anthony Seratelli in the bottom of the third and notched two more in the fourth to go ahead by a total of 4-2. Omaha's two runs in the fourth came on RBI singles by Kevin Kouzmanoff and Seratelli.
From there, the Storm Chasers pitching dominated and held the Bees off of the scoreboard for the game's final five innings to end their homestand on a winning note.
Omaha will now hit the road for a four-game series against the New Orleans Zephyrs. Friday's game against the Zephyrs is slated for a 7 p.m. start and can be heard locally on AM 1180 or online at omahastormchasers.com.
