Zephyrs Rally to Defeat Reno

RENO, Nevada - The Zephyrs scored a pair of runs in the seventh inning to overcome a 2-1 deficit to defeat the Reno Aces 4-2 and snap a two game losing streak. Clint Sammons led off the seventh inning with a double, Mike Cervenak picked up a pinch hit double to tie the game. Gil Velazquez doubled home the go ahead run for New Orleans. Beau Jones (2-1 ) earned the win pitching a scoreless inning of relief. Sandy Rosario earned his league leading twelfth save recording the final five outs. Z's starter Alex Sanabia exited the game after three innings; he allowed one run on three hits. D-Backs top prospect Trevor Bauer started for Reno and pitched five innings. He allowed one run on one hit and walked a season high five batters in the no decision. Mike DeMark (3-3) took the loss for the Aces. The teams combined to leave 24 men on base in the game.

Game Notes - The Zephyrs are back at .500 for the season with the victory. Alex Sanabia left the game with tightness in groin, listed as day to day. The Zephyrs have dropped five of seven on this road-trip.
