Springfield Falcons News Release
Springfield, Mass. - Springfield Falcons Trent Vogelhuber, Thomas Larkin, Corey Cowick and Denny Urban will be participating in a celebrity bartending event on Wednesday, February 25 from 5 - 8 p.m. at Samuel's Sports Bar in support of Baystate Children's Hospital Change Heroes campaign for the 14th annual 94.7 WMAS Radiothon.
The Falcons players, along with doctors from Baystate Children's Hospital and members of 94.7 WMAS, will be serving drinks at Samuels, located in the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame at 1000 West Columbus Avenue, Springfield, MA. Vogelhuber and Larkin will be behind the bar from 5 - 6:30 p.m. and Cowick and Urban will take over from 6:30 - 8 p.m.
The event will focus on collecting donations for the Change Hero campaign, with donation boxes around the venue.
Additionally, the celebrity bartending event will feature raffle prizes, including Falcons ticket vouchers, signed pucks and social media shirts along with WMAS prizes.
The Change Heroes campaign is a grassroots coin collection drive that helps turn spare change into miracles for patients cared for at Baystate Children's Hospital. All funds collected at the celebrity bartending event will go towards the 14th Annual 94.7 WMAS Radiothon for Baystate Children's Hospital held March 5 - 7. Since its inception, the Radiothon has raised over $2.4 million for the local Children's Hospital.
