Springfield Falcons Reassign Defeneseman Mike Dipaolo to Ontario

Springfield, Mass. - The Springfield Falcons have reassigned defenseman Mike DiPaolo from the Kalamazoo Wings to the Ontario Reign of the ECHL, Falcons Director of Hockey Operations Bruce Landon announced today.

DiPaolo, 20, has appeared in six games with the Wings this season, posting one goal and 16 penalty minutes, since being assigned on Nov. 17.

The 6-foot-4, 215-pound defenseman split the 2013-14 season with the Charlottetown Islanders of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League and the Sarnia Sting of the Ontario Hockey League. He earned four points (4a) and racked up 165 penalty minutes in 51 appearances with the Islanders. Over three seasons with the Sting, the Brantford, Ontario native skated in 64 games and registered one goal along with 75 penalty minutes. DiPaolo started his career in the Ontario Junior Hockey League with the Burlington Cougars, collecting four points (4a) in 22 appearances.
