Canadiens Assign Tokarski to Bulldogs for Conditioning, Also Assign Tangradi

MONTREAL, QUE. - Montreal Canadiens and Hamilton Bulldogs general manager Marc Bergevin announced today the Canadiens have assigned goaltender Dustin Tokarski (conditioning) and forward Eric Tangradi to the Bulldogs.

Tokarski has been assigned to Hamilton for two games for conditioning. In seven games with Montreal this season, the 25-year-old has a record of 3-2-1 with a 2.44 goals-against average and .914 save percentage. In 17 career National Hockey League regular season games with the Canadiens and Tampa Bay Lightning, the Watson, Sask. native has a record of 6-5-2 with a 2.70 goals-against average, .908 save percentage and one shutout. In 235 career American Hockey League regular season games with the Bulldogs, Syracuse Crunch and Norfolk Admirals, the 5-11, 195-pound goaltender has a record of 124-88-14 with a 2.44 goals-against average, .912 save percentage and 18 shutouts. Tokarski was originally selected by the Lightning in the fifth round (122nd overall) in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft. The Canadiens acquired him from the Lightning in exchange for goaltender Cedrick Desjardins on Feb. 14, 2013.

Tangradi has split this season between the Canadiens and Bulldogs. In seven games with Montreal, he has recorded 17 penalty minutes. In 12 games with Hamilton, the 6-4, 221-pound forward has recorded six points (two goals, four assists) and 18 penalty minutes. In 143 career NHL regular season games with the Canadiens, Pittsburgh Penguins and Winnipeg Jets, the Philadelphia, Pa. native has recorded 15 points (five goals, 10 assists) and 86 penalty minutes. In 190 career AHL regular season games with the Bulldogs and Wilkes-Barre / Scranton Penguins, the 25-year-old has recorded 127 points (62 goals, 65 assists) and 232 penalty minutes. Tangradi was originally selected by the Anaheim Ducks in the second round (42nd overall) in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft. The Canadiens acquired him from the Jets in exchange for goaltender Peter Budaj and forward Patrick Holland on Oct. 5, 2014.

The Bulldogs will be back in action tonight when they'll host the St. John's IceCaps at FirstOntario Centre at 7:30 p.m.
