Oklahoma City - Jorge Mateo's RBI triple in the top of the ninth inning broke a tie and pushed the Nashville Sounds to a 5-4 win against the Oklahoma City Dodgers Tuesday night at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark.

The loss marked the third straight at home for the Dodgers, who entered the game with the best home winning percentage among full-season teams in the Minors (.750). Oklahoma City fell to 27-10 at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark, tying their longest home losing skid of the season at three games.

Tuesday marked the first game of the four-game series between the teams after Monday's scheduled opener was postponed due to wet grounds.

The Dodgers (43-29) took the game's early lead in the second inning.

Edwin RÃ-os led off the bottom of the second inning with a double to the wall in deep left-center field and scored on a RBI single to right field by Kyle Garlick to put the Dodgers in front, 1-0.

Later with one out in the inning, Angelo Mora brought home another run for Oklahoma City with a RBI single into right field for a 2-0 lead.

Nashville (34-40) scored four runs in the fifth inning to go in front.

The Sounds' Sheldon Neuse led off the inning with a double and scored on a one-out RBI single by Mateo to cut the Dodgers' lead to 2-1.

Melvin Mercedes and Nick Martini followed with back-to-back RBI triples around a pitching change later in the inning to give the Sounds a 3-2 lead. Ramon Laureano's RBI groundout then pushed Nashville's lead to 4-2.

The Dodgers had a chance to edge closer to the Sounds in the sixth inning when Andrew Toles advanced to third base with one out, but Nashville starting pitcher Norge Ruiz then got both Alex Verdugo and Edwin RÃ-os to strike out to end the inning.

The Dodgers tied the game in the seventh inning when Henry Ramos connected on a two-run homer out to left field. The home run was his fifth of the season.

The Sounds then broke the tie in the top of the ninth inning. Steve Lombardozzi hit a one-out single and Mateo followed with a RBI triple to center field to put the Sounds in front, 5-4.

Dodgers reliever Pat Venditte (3-2) was charged with the loss, allowing the go-ahead run in the top of the ninth inning. He allowed one run and two hits over 2.0 innings with one walk and three strikeouts.

Nashville reliever Dean Kiekhefer (5-0) was credited with the win, pitching 1.1 scoreless innings between the eighth and ninth innings. Bobby Wahl then retired the final two Oklahoma City batters of the game for his eighth save of the season.

Nashville outhit Oklahoma City, 10-6.
