Today's Game: Reno looks for revenge in game two of the four-game set against visiting Salt Lake. The Aces will send right-hander Taylor Clarke to the mound to square off against Salt Lake starter Griffin Canning. Clarke is 7-5 this season with a 4.14 ERA. In his last start against Salt Lake, Clarke allowed just three hits in five innings of work and did not allow a single run. Christian Walker has homered four times in his last 10 games and went 3-for-5 last night with a bomb.

Last Game: In game one of a four-game series against the Salt Lake Bees, the Reno Aces lost by the score of 9-6. The Aces scored six runs on 13 hits. Offensively, the aces were led by Yasmany Tomas who went 2-for-4 with an RBI single and a triple. Starting pitcher Jake Buchanan picked up the no-decision. Buchanan went 6.1 innings allowing five runs on eight hits. LHP Jared Miller was tagged with the loss, going 1.1 innings, allowing three runs on five hits. The loss moves the Aces to a record of 34-43 on the season, 12.5 games back of first place.

Back to Business: The Arizona Diamondbacks recalled RHP Jimmie Sherfy from Triple-A Reno. Following last night's game, the D-backs optioned RHP Braden Shipley to Reno. Sherfy, 26, is making his second stint with the D-backs this season, having not allowed a hit or a run in any of his 3 appearances (2.0 IP) from May 13-19. He has not allowed a run in any of his 14 career Major League appearances, tied with Clay Zavada (2014) for the fourth-longest streak in team history to start a D-backs career, and 5 games shy of the team record 19 games, shared by Matt Reynolds (2013) and Joe Paterson (2011). Overall, in 14 career appearances, he has limited left-handed hitters to a .067 average (1-for-15) with 5 strikeouts, including hitless in their last 6 at-bats, and righties to a .160 average (4-for-25) with 5 strikeouts. He posted a 0.93 ERA (2 ER in 19.1 IP) with 34 strikeouts over his last 17 games.

Art & Baseball: In collaboration with the Reno Aces, the Sierra Arts Foundation will be presenting the work of artist John Hull. Hull painted the everyday- lives of the players and fans in the Greater Nevada Field Stadium, documenting the instances of the accidental of the human experience. In his collaboration with the Reno Aces, Hull attempts to capture his subject's capacity to endure, to be possibly better than they hoped they could be and feared they might not be. In documenting the fans and players in their environment, Hull hopes to capture the shared experience of people in the context of group entertainment, and ultimately the joy that comes with that experience. The gallery is open 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Wednesday.
