The game began positively for Omaha, who took the lead in the top of the 1st. Donnie Dewees walked, went to 2nd on a groundout, stole 3rd, and scored on a passed ball.

Round Rock established control, however, with 5 in the bottom of the 2nd. Willie Calhoun and Ryan Rua singled, and on a subsequent double-steal, Calhoun came home on a missed-catch error by Humberto Arteaga at 2nd base. Hunter Cole followed with a 2-run homer, Juan Centeno reached on another error, Hanser Alberto singled and advanced to 2nd on a throwing error (the Chasers' 3rd of the inning), and Drew Robinson singled in 2 runs to make it 5-1.

Andy Ibanez led off the bottom of the 3rd with a single, and scored on a 2-out double by Juan Centeno. Ibanez extended the Express lead to 7-1 with a solo homer in the bottom of the 5th.

Scott Barlow (L, 1-2) was charged with 6 runs on 7 hits in 3 innings. He struck out 3 and walked 1.

Chris Jensen (W, 1-0) went 5 innings for Round Rock, limiting Omaha to 1 run, 1 hit, and 2 walks.

Eric Stout pitched 3 strong innings of relief for the Chasers; Michael Mariot tossed a scoreless 7th and 8th.

The Storm Chasers (35-40) will continue the series in Round Rock tomorrow night at 7:05. Omaha's starter is to be determined, while the Express will send RHP Michael Roth (3-3, 3.38) to the mound.
