Week 6 Recap

The Sound Tigers suffered two losses this week at the hands of the Worcester Sharks and the Philadelphia Phantoms, but rebounded with a home win against the Hershey Bears.

SHARKS TAKE A BITE OUT OF SOUND TIGERS

Thousands of students from the local school districts piled into Arena at Harbor Yard to cheer on the Bridgeport Sound Tigers but left disappointed as the Worcester Sharks scored three goals in the third period to defeat the Sound Tigers 4-2. Sharks' captain, Graham Mink scored two goals and his second goal of the game came at 13:12 of the final period, which was the eventual game-winner.

PHANTOMS SCORE THREE LATE GOALS TO BEAT SOUND TIGERS

Philadelphia Phantoms forward Ryan Potulny completed his hat trick with a power-play goal in the overtime session to down the Sound Tigers 3-2.

BEAR HUNTING

For the second time this season, the Sound Tigers have been able to end a losing streak at the hands of the Hershey Bears. Tonight, Joey MacDonald posted his second shutout of the season in the team's 4-0 victory over the Bears. The Sound Tigers received goals from four different players, Jeff Tambellini, Sean Bentivoglio, Steve Regier and Kip Brennan.
