
Offense Leads To Rockford To Ubeaten Week

An offensive explosion led the Rockford IceHogs to five out of a possible six points during Week 6 of the 2007-08 American Hockey League regular season. The IceHogs were led by Martin St. Pierre (2g-5a) and Petri Kontiola (2g-5a). After four of five at home, the IceHogs hit the road for a three game road trip out east during Week 7.
Friday, Nov. 9: Grand Rapids Griffins 5 vs. Rockford IceHogs 6 SO
Saturday, Nov. 10: Rockford IceHogs 4 at Peoria Rivermen 5 OT
Sunday, Nov. 11: San Antonio Rampage 3 vs. Rockford IceHogs 8

Rockford is unbeaten in five straight games (3-0-1-1) dating back to Nov. 2, one shy of the club's longest unbeaten stretch of the season
The IceHogs are unbeaten at home through four contests (3-0-1-0)
Rockford's five power-play goals on Sunday against San Antonio tied a franchise record
The club's 14 power-play opportunities on Sunday were second most on the season behind the 17 they received on Oct. 6 at Quad City
Center Martin St. Pierre recorded a team season-high five points (2g-3a) on Sunday against San Antonio
Rockford's eight goals in its 8-3 win over the Rampage are the most scored this season for the IceHogs and the five-goal margin of victory is the club's largest on the campaign
The IceHogs have scored the most goals in the AHL with 53
The IceHogs and Rampage combined for an IceHogs season high 180 penalty minutes on Sunday, including 76 for Rockford and 104 for San Antonio
Center Petri Kontiola (1g-3a) chipped in his team-leading fifth multi-point game on Sunday
Kontiola also leads Rockford in scoring (15 pts), assists (12) and plus/minus rating (+9)
Rockford will play 14 of its next 21 games on the road leading up to New Year's Eve
10 of Rockford's next 13 contests will be played against opponents outside their division
Rockford's offense came alive in Week 6 notching 18 goals in three games
Hot Hog Week 6:
Center Martin St. Pierre was one of the biggest reasons for the IceHogs offensive success during Week 6. St. Pierre tallied 2g-5a-7pts in three games including a team season-high five points in Sunday's 8-3 thrashing of the San Antonio Rampage at the Rockford MetroCentre.
Upcoming Games:
Friday, Nov. 16 at Rochester Americans. Game time is 6:35 p.m. The IceHogs and Amerks hook up for the first of two meetings during the 2007-08 regular season. The game marks the only time in which Rockford will travel to Rochester.
Saturday, Nov. 17 at Syracuse Crunch. The puck drops at 6:30 p.m. Rockford's mini three-game road trip continues in upstate New York against Syracuse. The Hogs and Crunch clash twice this season including once at the Rockford MetroCentre.
Sunday, Nov. 18 at Toronto Marlies. The showdown starts at 3 p.m. Entering Week 7 nobody has been able to top the Marlies in regulation and on Sunday the IceHogs get their chance in Toronto. The game is Rockford's final regular season tilt in Canada.

Bud Light Hog Talk returns tonight at Cousin's Bar and Grill! Cousin's Bar and Grill is the site for the IceHogs weekly talk show that features Hogs Head Coach Mike Haviland. Also appearing on the show this week is Hogs defenesman Mike Blunden and Adam Hobson. The show runs from 6:30-7:30 p.m. and is hosted by Jim Stone and Double T. Bud Light Hog Talk returns to the airwaves as well, as fans can tune in live to 1330-AM, WNTA to catch the show. Come out to Cousin's Bar and Grill to talk Hogs hockey and enjoy some great Bud Light and food specials!
