Connecticut Whale News Release
HARTFORD, November 12, 2007: Northland AEG announced today that a food drive conducted by the Hartford Wolf Pack and the Connecticut State Police at the Wolf Pack's home game this past Saturday, November 10th generated donations of 370 pounds of food, and $806 in monetary donations, for Foodshare. In addition, the Wolf Pack Community Foundation is donating the proceeds from that night's 50/50 raffle and "Jersey Girl" autographed jersey raffle to Foodshare. That brings the total monetary amount raised to $1,373.
Foodshare estimates that with every dollar raised, they can feed one person for one day. Thus, the efforts of the Wolf Pack Community Foundation and the Connecticut State Police, and the generosity of the fans attending the game, provided for the nourishment of 1,373 Hartford residents.
The Wolf Pack return to action with home games this Wednesday, November 14th vs. Norfolk and Friday, November 16th vs. Hamilton (both 7:00 starts).
