Jim McKenzie and Derek Smith assigned to Binghamton

BINGHAMTON, N.Y. - The Ottawa Senators, the parent club of the Binghamton Senators, today reassigned right wing Jim McKenzie and defenseman Derek Smith to Binghamton from the Elmira Jackals of the ECHL.
Smith, 23, had one assists in Elmira's 6-2 loss against Bakersfield on Sunday evening at First Arena in Elmira.
McKenzie, 23, returns to the B-Sens after skating in 10 games with the Jackals. The St. Paul, Minnesota native had one goal and one assist for two points and seven penalty minutes during his time with Elmira.
