WEEK 6 - RIVERMEN ACTION (1-1-0-1)

Tuesday, November 6 - PEORIA 3 @ Iowa Stars 4 (SO)

Toby Peterson notched the hat trick in regulation to spoil two goals from Trent Whitfield and 27 saves from Marek Schwarz as the Iowa Stars notched a 4-3 shootout victory on home ice. Junior Lessard and Trevor Byrne also recorded a pair of assists in the win for Iowa.

Friday, November 9 - PEORIA 3 vs. Iowa Stars 6

Peterson once again drove the offense for the Stars, scoring twice while Joel Lundqvist notched a goal and two assists as Iowa took both halves of a home-and-home series. Jean-Guy Trudel, Trent Whitfield, and Nikolay Lemtyugov scored for the Rivermen in the contest.

Saturday, November 10 - PEORIA 5 vs. Rockford IceHogs 4 (OT)

Peoria got in the win column for the week when they came from behind to down the Rockford IceHogs 5-4 in overtime on Saturday night. The Rivermen erased a 2-0 Rockford lead with a pair of first period goals from Jeff Woywitka and Mike Glumac, but Bryan Bickell's first of two goals made it 3-2 after the first period. Woywitka and Bickell traded goals before Trent Whitfield evened the game with a power play goal at 5:01 of the third period to force overtime. It was there Nicholas Drazenovic fired the rebound off a Chris Porter deflection past Wade Flaherty to give Peoria the win. Marek Schwarz earned the win, stopping 16-of-18 shots in relief of Juuso Riksman.
