Chicago Wolves News Release

The Atlanta Thrashers have reassigned right wing CHAD PAINCHAUD (PAYNE-show) to the Chicago Wolves from the ECHL's Gwinnett Gladiators. In addition, the Wolves have recalled center COLTON FRETTER from Gwinnett.

The forwards skated in two games with the Gladiators last week after being reassigned there on Nov. 8. FRETTER recorded two goals and four penalty minutes, while PAINCHAUD tallied one marker and two penalty minutes in the duo's first action this year. Neither player has appeared with the Wolves this season.

FRETTER was named the ECHL's Rookie of the Year in 2006-07 after leading all first-year pros with 36 goals and 68 points in 51 outings with Gwinnett, while PAINCHAUD ranked third among ECHL rookies with 54 points in 72 contests last season.

Chicago (11-0-1-0), which is out to its best start in franchise history, completes a season-high, seven-game road trip on Friday with a matchup against the Iowa Stars at Wells Fargo Arena at 7 p.m., before returning home to host the Houston Aeros at the Allstate Arena on Saturday at 7 p.m.
