Providence Bruins News Release
Providence, RI - The Providence Bruins, member of the American Hockey League, will begin the home portion of their schedule this Wednesday, November 14, against the Portland Pirates at 7:05 p.m. at the newly-renovated Dunkin' Donuts Center. Through 10 games, all on the road to begin the 2007-08 campaign, the P-Bruins lead the Atlantic Division with a record of 8-1-1-0 and 17 points. Providence is one of only four AHL clubs with one or fewer regulation losses.
The P-Bruins' contest with the Pirates will mark the first event at The Dunk since Providence's postseason run last May. There have been many changes, including brand new food courts, a new main lobby and new restrooms. The new main lobby will be open in the front of the building, the former War Memorial entrance, for fans to enter and walk to their seats.
Wednesday night's game also marks the first of more than 20 Providence Bruins Promotional Nights at the Dunkin' Donuts Center. The P-Bruins will be giving away magnet schedules to the first 2,500 fans, courtesy of Shaw's.
Fans are encouraged to arrive to the Dunkin' Donuts Center early on opening night if their schedules permit. For more information, call the Providence Bruins ticket office at 401-273-5000 or log on to the team website at www.providencebruins.com.
