
Sound Tigers To Wrap Up Regular Season This Weekend

BRIDGEPORT, CT â The American Hockey League's 2001-02 Regular Season Champion and Eastern Conference Playoff Champion Bridgeport Sound Tigers, top affiliate of the National Hockey League's New York Islanders, will finish the 2002-03 regular season with three games in three days this weekend hosting the Albany River Rats Friday at 7:35 p.m. at Bridgeport's Arena at Harbor Yard and facing the Hartford Wolf Pack in a home-and-home series on the road Saturday at 7:05 p.m. and at home Sunday at 4:05 p.m.
Town Fair Tire will giveaway coupons, while supplies last, to fans as they exit both of this weekend's games at Harbor Yard, and Sunday will be "Fan Appreciation Day".
Bud Light will present the Connecticut State Bubble Hockey Championship Sunday. The tournament will take place in the arena atrium, and the championship game will be played at center ice during the first intermission. Play will begin at 1 p.m. for the winners of previously held regional contests.
Michael Amante will sing the national anthem prior to Sunday's game, and SpongeBob SquarePants, Blue, Clifford the Big Red Dog and Scooby Doo will be at the game.
There will be special giveaways throughout the course of Sunday's game by many of the Sound Tigers' sponsors via a random drawing of seat locations. There will also be a "Chuck-A-Puck", and the Sound Tigers will return to the ice to toss T-shirts to fans following the game.
