Checkers Seher & McKay Loaned To The AHL

CHARLOTTE, NC - THURSDAY, APRIL 2: Checkers defenseman Kurt Seher and center Konrad McKay were both loaned to different AHL teams late Wednesday. The moves were announced by Checkers Head Coach and General Manager Don MacA! dam.

Seher has been loaned to the the AHL's Syracuse Crunch for the rest of the week. He played in the Crunch's 4-3 OT win last night, assisting on Syracuse's first goal and finishing at +1 for the night. The Crunch will play next this Friday at Rochester where Kurt will face his Checkers teammate Nick Bilotto, who is still playing with the Americans. Seher finished his tenth ECHL season playing in 71 games, scoring nine goals and 33 assists for 42 points. His nine goals, 33 assists and 42 points were all a career second-best.

Checkers center Konrad McKay has been loaned to the AHL' s Bridegeport Sound Tigers. The Tigers next game is at home this Friday against Albany. McKay finished his 2002-03 ECHL season having played in 51 games, scoring 13 goals and 24 assists for 37 points. His 202 penalty minutes were a team-high.

Meanwhile the Northeast Division playoffs got underway Wednesday night with Atlantic City downing Trenton 4-3. Game # 1 of the Greensboro - Roanoke series will get underway tonight in Greensboro.
