Sound Tigers Deal Dalhuisen to San Antonio for Brace

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (Feb. 14, 2014) - The Bridgeport Sound Tigers announced today that forward Adam Brace has been acquired from the San Antonio Rampage in exchange for defenseman Mike Dalhuisen (ECHL).

Brace, 25, began the season with the Charlotte Checkers, where he played 10 games and scored six points (two goals, four assists). In late November, he was traded for San Antonio and was assigned to the the Cincinnati Cyclones (ECHL). He played 31 games with the Cyclones and collected 21 points (eight goals, 13 assists). Brace had a four-year collegiate career in the Atlantic Hockey Association in which he spent his freshman year at Canisius College before playing the next three season at Robert Morris University.

Dalhuisen, 25, was signed by the Sound Tigers to an AHL contract before the start of the 2013-14 season. He played four games with the Sound Tigers and collected 12 penalty minutes. He spent the majority of the season with Stockton, where in 32 games he scored 16 points (seven goals, nine assists) and had 79 penalty minutes. Dalhuisen played four years at Quinnipiac University (ECAC) and was an alternate captain of the team in 2012-13, which went to the NCAA national championship game.
