
Rampage Acquire D Mike Dalhuisen from Bridgeport

SAN ANTONIO (Feb. 14, 2014) - San Antonio Rampage General Manager Mike Santos announced today that the American Hockey League (AHL) club has acquired rookie defenseman Mike Dalhuisen from the Bridgeport Sound Tigers in exchange for forward Adam Brace. Dalhuisen will report to the Rampage's ECHL affiliate, the Cincinnati Cyclones.
Dalhuisen, 25, started the season with Stockton of the ECHL, recording three goals and five points in 17 games before getting recalled to Bridgeport. He went pointless through four games with the Sound Tigers, and to date, tallied seven goals and 16 points in 32 games with Stockton to kick off his rookie season.
The 6-foot-3, 210-pound blueliner played three years (2006-09) in the USHL, recording five goals and 24 assists for 29 points in 123 career games between the Chicago Steel and the Lincoln Stars. A native of Nijmegen, Netherlands, Dalhuisen played four years (2009-13) of collegiate hockey with Quinnipiac University, totaling 12 goals and 26 assists for 38 points in 143 career games with the Bobcats.
The Rampage continue the annual Rodeo Road Trip tonight at 6 p.m. from Van Andel Arena, as they enter the first of a back-to-back with the Grand Rapids Griffins. Fans can watch live on AHL Live, or listen live on the home of Rampage hockey, The Ticket 760 AM.
