Orlando Solar Bears News Release
ORLANDO, Fla. - The Orlando Solar Bears have announced today that Orlando's Amway Center's ice hockey rink now "bears" the name of a world-renowned orthopaedic practice and the areas' top orthopaedic group. Effective immediately, the ice at the Amway Center will be known as Jewett Orthopaedic Rink at Amway Center thanks to a new, exclusive agreement as the Solar Bears' new rink naming rights partner. Visitors will see the Jewett Orthopaedic Clinic name and brand proudly and prominently displayed inside Amway Center.
In addition, Jewett Orthopaedic Clinic will continue a multi-year deal to be the official orthopaedic provider for the Orlando Solar Bears. Jewett Orthopaedic Clinic currently serves as team physicians for the NBA's Orlando Magic, Orlando Solar Bears, University of Central Florida athletics, Rollins College athletics, and even the Orlando Ballet.
"We're proud to partner with Orlando Solar Bears and the Central Florida community to help build memories for our community and visitors," said Allan Sansom, Vice President of Marketing for Jewett Orthopaedic Clinic. "Orlando has been our home for over 83 years. Having a rink naming rights deal in place was extremely important for us as we look toward the future. With thousands of visitors to the Amway Center each year, we look forward to strengthening our brand and supporting the community that has allowed us to be successful on and off the ice."
"We're thrilled to have Jewett Orthopaedic Clinic continue as our official orthopaedic provider, and to now have the privilege of having them as our rink naming rights partner," Solar Bears president Chris Heller said. "We consider them to be the best group of orthopaedic physicians in the Central Florida community; our partnership is a perfect fit for our organizations and allows us to keep our team on the ice and in the game."
