
Solar Bears Send Kalk to Wichita

Orlando Solar Bears News Release
ORLANDO, Fla. - The Orlando Solar Bears have announced the trade of rookie forward Corey Kalk to the Wichita Thunder. The transaction completes the Nov. 27 trade with Wichita, in which Orlando acquired forward Matt Schmalz from the Thunder in exchange for forward Stefan Fournier and future considerations.
Kalk, 24, recorded 18 points (9g-9a) and 22 penalty minutes in 36 games with Orlando.
NEXT GAMES: The Solar Bears hit the road for a three-game set with the Newfoundland Growlers, starting with the opening battle at Mile One Centre on Friday, March 8 at 5:30 p.m. EST. The Solar Bears return home on Wednesday, March 13 at 7 p.m. for a Wine Down Wednesday against the Florida Everblades, featuring $5 wine specials throughout the game.
