
Snappers Split Doubleheader

The Snappers dropped the second game of a doubleheader against South Bend Friday night 6-5. The Snappers countered the Silverhawks two run third inning by scoring four runs on six hits in the fifth inning to take a 4-2 lead. South Bend answered in the top half of the sixth inning taking a 5-4 lead and would not look back. The Snappers tallied 14 hits, including a three for three night from Javi Sanchez and a three for four performance from Deacon Burns.
Upcoming Schedule: The Snappers will play South Bend on Saturday and Sunday. Saturday is the first fireworks night of the season. Cedar Rapids is in town starting Monday for a four game series.
