
Snappers End Four Game Slide

The Snappers defeated the South Bend Silverhawks 3-2 in the first game of a doubleheader. The game, which was originally slated for seven innings, went the full nine when the Snappers tied the game at two in the bottom of the sixth. The Snappers squandered a fine start by righthander Anthony Swarzak who in six innings of work, stuck out four and allowed no earned runs. Paul Rutgers' came up with the game winning hit in the Snappers half of the ninth. Korey Feiner finished the game two for three with a single, triple, and drove in a run.
Upcoming Schedule: Following tonight's second game, the Snappers will play two more games against South Bend on Saturday and Sunday. Saturday's game is the first fireworks night of the season. Game time is at 6:30 on Saturday, and 2:00 on Sunday. The homestand continues on Monday when the Cedar Rapids Kernels are in town for a four game set.
