Snappers dominated by Cougars

The Beloit Snappers were rocked by the bats of Kane County in a 12-1 losing effort. The Cougars got off to a quick start with a pair of two RBI homers in the first and second innings. Will Lewis went 2-4 and had the Snappers only run with a solo shot in the bottom of the first. In 1.2 innings pitched, Greg Kloosterman allowed 4 runs on 5 hits to take the loss. A Cougar grand slam in the top of the third pulled Kane County to a 8-1 lead. Drew Anderson led off the sixth inning strong with a double, but was unable to be brought home, leaving the score 9-1. A sacrifice fly by Kane County in the seventh pushed their lead to 10-1, and the Cougars tacked on two more runs with their third home run in the top of the ninth to finish with the 12-1 win.
