The Battle Creek Yankees continue to make roster changes with the addition of two new players Friday. Pitcher Brad Baisley and outfielder Edwin Cabrera join the team, while outfielder Bryce Kartler moves to the disabled list.

At 6-foot-9, Baisley is the tallest player in franchise history. The right-hander was 0-3 with a 4.79 earned-run average in nine games with Vero Beach of the high-A Florida State League this season. His seven-year minor-league career includes stops in the double-A Eastern League.

Cabrera hit .182 in six games with the Staten Island Yankees this season. He is in his fourth season as a pro, after stints in the Dominican Summer League and the Gulf Coast League.

Kartler goes on the DL after playing in 52 games, hitting .246.

Earlier: Second baseman Nick Walsh and outfielder Jason VanMeetren were added to the roster on Thursday. To make room on the roster, Estee Harris was sent to the Gulf Coast League Yankees and Edwar Gonzalez was sent to Staten Island.

Walsh was signed as a non-drafted free agent two weeks ago out of Arizona State University. VanMeetren started his professional career in the Seattle Mariners' system then signed with the Yankees in October of 2003. He played eight games for the Tampa Yankees and joins Battle Creek from an injury rehab assignment at extended spring training. He hit .179 with one double in 28 at-bats for Tampa.

Harris was hitting .214 with three home runs and 20 RBI in 57 games with Battle Creek before being sent to the GCL Yankees. Gonzalez was hitting .217 with one RBI in 12 games for Battle Creek.
