
Snappers and River Bandits Suspended for Lighting Issues

Beloit, WI - The Beloit Snappers (37-42) and Peoria Chiefs (46-36) evening game on July 3rd at Pohlman Field has been suspended due to lighting issues. The game was tied 1-1. The attendance was 2,918.
In the middle of the fifth inning, the lighting issue occurred. Play was delayed 15 minutes and it could not be fixed.
At the stoppage, the River Bandits held a 4-2 hit advantage. Josh Reagan had just pitched a third of an inning to end the top of the sixth. Due up for the Snappers was Lazaro Armenteros, Austin Beck and Hunter Hargrove.
Snappers starter Mitchell Jordan pitched 5.2 innings, surrendering four hits, one earned run, one walk and struck out five River Bandits. He was relieved by Reagan as the only other pitcher to record to throw a pitch for the Snappers.
River Bandits starter Jairo Solis pitched all five innings, allowing just two hits, one run, three walks and eight strikeouts.
The River Bandits scored their lone run in the top of the second inning. David Hensley doubled to left field to score Scott Schreiber.
The resumption of this game will be made up when the River Bandits travel back to Beloit in August. A tentative date is August 8th.
