Sky Sox to assist in Hurricane Katrina relief effort

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The Sky Sox Baseball Club, in cooperation with the American Red Cross will be hosting an American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund collection at Security Service Field September 2nd-5th to aid victims of Hurricane Katrina. By making a monetary donation to the Hurricane relief, the American Red Cross can provide food, shelter, counseling and other assistance to those in need. Donations can be made with cash or check payable to the American Red Cross.

In support of the collection, the Sky Sox will be giving each fan that donates to the relief effort a Free General Admission ticket good for any one of the four remaining home games of the 2005 season. In addition, the Sky Sox will be auctioning off the use of a Luxury Suite during Friday Nights home game against Fresno. All proceeds from the auction will go to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund.
