
Beavers and Timbers are helping hurricane relief efforts

Additionally, the Beavers and Timbers are donating a portion of tickets sales generated from a special link on the teams' websites to the relief effort. Through the link, fans can purchase general admission tickets to any of the six remaining regular-season home games, with $3 from each Beavers ticket purchased and $4 from each Timbers ticket purchased at the special Internet location going to Northwest Medical Teams for their recovery efforts.
To purchase these tickets, go to www.portlandbeavers.com or www.portlandtimbers.com and choose the "Hurricane Katrina Relief" link on the right-hand side of the site, entering the password "TEAMS" when prompted.
The Beavers have four remaining home games, Sept. 2-5, while the Timbers have two home matches left on their regular-season schedule, Sept. 8 and Sept. 10.
Fans can also donate online through the Northwest Medical Teams' website at www.nwmedicalteams.org or by calling (800) 959-4325.
The Beavers play in the 16-team Pacific Coast League, a circuit that also includes the New Orleans Zephyrs.
