Sky Sox Game Update

June 12, 2013 - Pacific Coast League (PCL1)
Colorado Springs Sky Sox News Release

The Colorado Springs Sky Sox have announced that due to current smoky conditions at the ballpark and surrounding areas, fans with tickets to today's 12:35 PM game have the option to attend today's game or exchange their tickets for any future 2013 Sky Sox regular season home game (excluding July 4) regardless of whether the game is played or not.

At the time of this release, the game is still scheduled for a 12:35 PM start. Sky Sox personnel will monitor the conditions at the ballpark and as long as they are deemed playable the game will be started. The team will notify fans of any change to the scheduled start time via our website (www.skysox.com), Facebook and Twitter (@skysox).

In addition, with the recent evacuations due to fires in the Black Forest and Canon City areas, the Sky Sox are offering free tickets to all those displaced by the fires for both today's 12:35 PM matinee game and Thursday's 7:05 PM game. Evacuees only need to stop by the Sky Sox box office and inform the ticket window employee that they are an evacuee and they will receive free tickets.

Also, the Sky Sox will be accepting donations at Security Service Field of nonperishable food items like canned and boxed meals, soups, cereals and snack items to help assist in relief efforts. Everyone who donates nonperishable food items at the ballpark will receive a free upper reserved seat voucher for any 2013 Sky Sox home game (except July 4th and pending availability).
