RENO, Nev.-Aces pitchers allowed just five hits on Tuesday night, and shutout the River Cats through the first 8.0 innings, en route to a 4-1 victory over Sacramento at Aces Ballpark.

Garrett Mock delivered a stellar spot start for Reno, in place of Charles Brewer, who made his Major League debut with the D-backs last night. Mock allowed just two hits and struck out two through 5.0 innings, earning his first win as a starter this season.

In his Triple-A debut, Brett Lorin threw 2.0 perfect innings of relief for the Aces, recording three strikeouts along the way. Reliever Evan Marshall continued the shutout in the eighth, but Chaz Roe allowed a run off an RBI double by Luke Montz in the top of the ninth.

Brent Clevlen belted his second home run of the season for Reno in the third, a two-run shot to give the Aces the lead. Back-to-back RBI doubles by Mike Jacobs and Matt Davidson in the eighth extended the Aces lead to 4-0.

At the dish for Reno, Jacobs went 3-for-4 on the night with an RBI and a run scored. Ed Easley and Chris Owings also recorded a multi-hit game for the Aces.

The win marked Reno's first at Aces Ballpark against Sacramento this season, after the club was swept in the opening series and suffered a loss yesterday.

The series continues on Wednesday night at Aces Ballpark. RHP Mike Bolsinger (1-0, 1.50 ERA) gets the nod for Reno, while the River Cats will counter with LHP Andrew Werner (5-8, 5.53 ERA). First pitch is set for 7:05 p.m.
