Sixsmith Back From AHL; McJannet Acquired From Florida

West Valley City, Utah - Utah Grizzlies Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Kevin Colley announced today that forward James Sixsmith has returned from the AHL's Milwaukee Admirals and that forward Steve McJannet has been acquired from the Florida Everblades in exchange for future considerations. Both players will be in the lineup tonight when Utah hosts Las Vegas at the E-Center at 7 p.m. to complete a six-game home stand. Utah resident and Actor Gary Coleman is scheduled to drop the ceremonial first puck.

Sixsmith returns to Utah with an ECHL-high five-game goal scoring streak. The forward has 10 goals and 15 assists for 25 points in 15 games with the Grizzlies this year.

McJannet has 34 goals and 39 assists for 73 points along with 245 penalty minutes in 150 career ECHL games with Columbia and Florida. He skated in 21 games this year totaling two goals, eight assists and 55 penalty minutes with the Everblades. During the 2007-2008 Kelly Cup playoffs, the Lake Superior State University product tallied one goal and 11 assists for 12 points in 13 games.

In addition, the Grizzlies also announced today that defenseman Chris Allen has been traded to the Bakersfield Condors and forward Patrick Asselin to Kalamazoo. Both trades are for future considerations.
