
Buck Recalled to Houston, Brust Loaned to Florida

ESTERO, FL - Florida Everblades president and general manager in coordination with head coach Malcolm Cameron have announced that forward Brandon Buck has been recalled to Houston (AHL) and goaltender Barry Brust has been loaned to the Everblades from Houston (AHL).
Buck returned to Florida after the ECHL All Star Game in Ontario California on January 21. The Delaware, Ontario native has scored 10 goals and 20 points in 31 games with Florida this season. He scored a goal in the ECHL All Star game in the American Conference 10-9 shootout win. Buck has also suited up for 10 games in the American Hockey League with Houston but has been held scoreless.
Brust, 26, returns to the Everblades after being sent to Houston on January 29. From December 19, 2009 to January 27, 2010, Brust won six straight starts and improved his record to 9-3-2 with a 2.24 goals against average and a.926 save percentage, which leads the ECHL. Brust has also recorded three shootout wins in five chances which is tied for the ECHL lead. He has been involved in five shootout contests stopping 25 of 30 (83%) shots in the shootout this season.
The sixth-year professional spent the last two seasons in the American Hockey League with the Houston Aeros. In two seasons with Houston, Brust posted a record of 33-25-6 in 71 appearances. His goals against average was 2.40 with a.916 save percentage. During the 2008-09, Brust was sidelined for most of the season due to a foot injury. He has appeared in three games with the Aeros this season and posted a 2-1-0 record with a 2.43 goals against average and.904 save percentage.
Florida travels to Time Warner Cable Arena in Charlotte, North Carolina for a pair of games this week. The Everblades step back into divisional play with their eighth and ninth meetings of the season with the Checkers. The Everblades battle the Checkers on Thursday, February 4 and Friday, February 5at 7:00 p.m.
