Eizenman Returns, Edmonton Reassigns Bryan Pitton

STOCKTON, Calif. - The Stockton Thunder, proud affiliate of the Edmonton Oilers of the National Hockey League and Springfield Falcons of the American Hockey League, announced center Oren Eizenman (IZE-en-man) has been returned to the Thunder from the from his loan to the Milwaukee Admirals on a professional tryout agreement (PTO) and Edmonton has reassigned goaltender Bryan Pitton (PITT-in) from the Thunder to Springfield.

Eizenman, 24, led the Thunder this season with 32 points (9g-23a) and 23 assists in 34 games at the time of his recall, is second with ten power-play assists and in three seasons (2007-10), he has skated in 101 career ECHL games with the Thunder and Fresno, scoring 112 points (39g-73a) and posting 75 penalty minutes.

The 6-foot, 190-pound pivot has one assist in seven games with Milwaukee this year and in 46 career AHL games with Milwaukee, San Antonio, Manitoba and Worcester, he has scored nine points (2g-6a) and totaled ten penalty minutes.

The native of Toronto, Ontario suited up for the National Conference as a rookie in the 2008 ECHL All-Star Game in Stockton and competed for four seasons (2003-07) in college at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (NCAA), scoring 99 points (37g-62a) in 129 career games.

Pitton, 21, is tied for second in the ECHL with a.921 save percentage and through 22 games this season, has compiled a record of 9-9-3, one shutout and a 2.85 goals-against-average.

Selected in the fifth round (133rd overall) by Edmonton in the 2006 National Hockey League Entry Draft by Edmonton and under NHL contract to the Oilers, Pitton is 8-2-2 with a shutout,.928 save percentage, a 2.62 GAA and two overtime wins in his last 12 starts.

The 6-foot-2, 176-pound netminder was recalled to the NHL for the third time this season on Jan. 8, won the Reebok Hockey ECHL Goaltender of the Week award on Dec. 29 and followed up by finishing runner-up for the award on Jan. 6. He suited up for the Oilers on Jan. 2 at San Jose and backed up goaltender Jeff-Drouin Deslauriers, but did not play.

Pitton, who joins his brother Jason on the Springfield roster (loaned by Stockton on a professional tryout contract), played for Stockton as a rookie in 2008-09 with a 9-19-3 record, a 3.39 GAA and a.886 save percentage in 34 games.

A two-time recipient of the ECHL "Award of Excellence," the Thunder was voted "Best Local Sports Team" by readers of the San Joaquin Magazine, has led the ECHL in attendance for four consecutive seasons and drew 223,854 fans to Stockton Arena in 2008-09.
