
Cyclones Acquire Scott Marchesi

CINCINNATI, Ohio - The Cincinnati Cyclones, ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Montreal Canadiens and Nashville Predators, announced this afternoon they have completed their transaction with the Gwinnett Gladiators from last week.
The Cyclones have obtained defenseman Scott Marchesi as the future considerations for the re-assignment of forward Mike McLean to Gwinnett from last Friday.
Marchesi has played 42 games with the Gladiators this season, netting two goals and nine assists for eleven points. The third-year native of South Portland, ME has appeared in 118 games in ECHL play- all with Gwinnett. Mike has scored twelve goals, dished off 20 assists and tallied 32 points. Last season, Marchesi also played in two games with the AHL's Chicago Wolves.
The six-foot-one, 200 pound rearguard played collegiately at Sacred Heart. Marchesi saw action in 138 games and had 14 goals and 37 assists for 51 points. The Pioneers won 70 games during his collegiate career, twice being named an All-Atlantic Hockey selection.
The Cyclones play a pair of home games this week, as Wheeling comes to town on Wednesday at 7:30pm. It is another Wet Wednesday with cans of beer priced at one dollar each. Thursday, defending Kelly Cup champion South Carolina returns for another 7:30pm clash. That is a Thirsty Thursday with one dollar beer specials throughout the evening.
